Description
Take orders and serve ice cream and frozen desserts, prepare cones, sundaes, shakes, and beverages, process payments, and maintain clean, well-stocked counters and equipment.
- • Greet guests, take orders, and answer questions about flavors and menu items.
- • Accept payments, operate the POS, and make change as needed.
- • Scoop and portion ice cream into cones, cups, and pints per order.
- • Prepare sundaes, banana splits, floats, and milkshakes to recipe standards.
- • Operate soft-serve, custard, and shake machines safely and hygienically.
- • Add sauces, sprinkles, whipped cream, and other garnishes as requested.
- • Offer samples and provide flavor recommendations.
- • Package pints, quarts, ice cream cakes, and takeout orders.
- • Label products and apply date codes; rotate stock using FIFO.
- • Monitor and restock flavors, toppings, cones, cups, and napkins.
- • Record flavor outages and notify the team of shortages or special orders.
- • Maintain dip wells; clean and sanitize scoops, spades, and utensils.
- • Clean and sanitize counters, dipping cabinets, and equipment.
- • Bus, wipe, and sanitize tables; sweep and mop floors.
- • Wash dishes and smallwares and return them to proper storage.
- • Set up service and dining areas at open, and break down at close.
- • Check and log freezer and cabinet temperatures per food safety policy.
- • Enter orders accurately and print or call order numbers for pickup.
- • Hand off completed orders promptly and courteously at the counter.
- • Prepare coffee, tea, and specialty beverages if offered.
- • Balance cash drawer and receipts at end of shift.
- • Assist with inventory counts and placing supply orders.
- • Follow allergen and dietary protocols to avoid cross-contact.
- • Assist in training new associates on recipes, service, and safety.
- • Comply with sanitation, personal hygiene, and safety standards.
- • Set up seasonal displays and menu signage as directed.
