Description
Serve customers at the food counter by taking orders, assembling and serving food and beverages, operating the POS and handling payments, and performing basic preparation, restocking, and cleaning to maintain a safe, sanitary service area.
- • Notify kitchen staff of special orders, shortages, or delays.
- • Greet customers and take orders at the counter or POS.
- • Enter orders and issue receipts.
- • Answer questions and resolve basic complaints.
- • Accept payments, process cards, and make change.
- • Assemble and serve food from the counter or steam table.
- • Prepare simple foods and beverages following safety and sanitation rules.
- • Brew coffee and tea and pour requested beverages.
- • Prepare and serve cold drinks or desserts using dispensing machines.
- • Wrap or package items for dine-in or takeout.
- • Add condiments, relishes, and garnishes per order.
- • Select items from holding or storage and place them on trays, plates, or in bags.
- • Replenish and rotate foods and supplies at serving stations.
- • Deliver order tickets to the kitchen and pick up completed items.
- • Clean and sanitize counters, steam tables, equipment, and service areas.
- • Sweep, mop, and wash dishes and utensils as needed.
- • Collect and return dirty dishes and trays to the dish area.
- • Monitor counter inventory and restock disposables and condiments; report low stock.
- • Balance the cash drawer or reconcile sales at shift end per procedures.
- • Set up and stock the counter and dining area; clear and reset as needed.
