Description
Support kitchen operations by preparing and cooking menu items, assembling orders, and maintaining clean, safe stations. Operate equipment, restock and rotate inventory, and follow recipes and food safety standards to ensure timely, consistent service.
- • Prep ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and portioning per recipes.
- • Cook menu items on grills, fryers, ovens, or steamers safely.
- • Assemble, plate, and garnish orders to specification.
- • Package takeout and delivery orders accurately.
- • Maintain hot and cold holding temperatures and logs.
- • Set up, stock, and break down kitchen stations.
- • Restock line and storage areas; rotate inventory using FIFO.
- • Label and date prepared foods and opened products.
- • Clean and sanitize prep surfaces, equipment, and smallwares.
- • Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware; operate dish machines.
- • Sweep, mop, and remove trash to maintain a sanitary kitchen.
- • Refill sauces, condiments, and serving pans as needed.
- • Communicate special orders, allergies, and shortages to the team.
- • Monitor portion sizes to control waste and costs.
- • Receive deliveries and store products at proper temperatures.
- • Follow personal hygiene and food safety policies at all times.
- • Operate mixers, slicers, and other equipment according to procedures.
- • Assist with daily prep lists and production schedules.
- • Support expediters and hand off completed tickets promptly.
- • Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
