Description
Serve guests at the counter or steam table by taking and assembling orders, preparing basic foods and beverages, processing payments, and maintaining clean, stocked service areas.
  • • Greet customers and take orders at the counter or takeout window.
  • • Enter orders into the POS and compute bills.
  • • Accept cash and card payments and make change.
  • • Issue receipts, order numbers, and pickup tickets.
  • • Prepare simple foods and beverages per recipes and safety standards.
  • • Brew coffee and tea and fill beverage containers.
  • • Prepare and serve fountain drinks, shakes, or frozen desserts.
  • • Assemble, wrap, and bag menu items for dine-in or takeout.
  • • Add relishes, condiments, and garnishes as requested.
  • • Select items from warmers, steam tables, or storage and place on trays.
  • • Deliver orders to the kitchen and pick up completed items.
  • • Hand completed orders to customers and verify accuracy.
  • • Restock cups, lids, condiments, utensils, and packaged foods.
  • • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages.
  • • Replenish foods at serving stations following holding guidelines.
  • • Clean and sanitize counters, steam tables, and equipment.
  • • Sweep, mop, and wash dishes to maintain sanitation.
  • • Collect dirty dishes and return them to the kitchen.
  • • Clean and organize service, dining, and kitchen areas.
  • • Follow food safety, allergen, and hygiene procedures.
  • • Count and reconcile the cash drawer at shift change.
  • • Respond to customer questions, comments, and complaints or escalate as needed.
