Description
Serve guests at the counter or steam table by taking and assembling orders, preparing basic foods and beverages, processing payments, and maintaining clean, stocked service areas.
- • Greet customers and take orders at the counter or takeout window.
- • Enter orders into the POS and compute bills.
- • Accept cash and card payments and make change.
- • Issue receipts, order numbers, and pickup tickets.
- • Prepare simple foods and beverages per recipes and safety standards.
- • Brew coffee and tea and fill beverage containers.
- • Prepare and serve fountain drinks, shakes, or frozen desserts.
- • Assemble, wrap, and bag menu items for dine-in or takeout.
- • Add relishes, condiments, and garnishes as requested.
- • Select items from warmers, steam tables, or storage and place on trays.

- • Collect dirty dishes and return them to the kitchen.
- • Clean and organize service, dining, and kitchen areas.
- • Follow food safety, allergen, and hygiene procedures.
- • Count and reconcile the cash drawer at shift change.
- • Respond to customer questions, comments, and complaints or escalate as needed.
