Description
Take orders and serve hot dogs and beverages from a mobile cart or stand. Prepare and assemble items, handle payments, and keep the cart clean, stocked, and compliant with health codes.
- • Address customer comments and resolve simple complaints.
- • Greet customers and answer questions about menu and toppings.
- • Take and record orders; issue tickets or order numbers if needed.
- • Accept cash and electronic payments; make change.
- • Balance daily receipts and reconcile cash drawer or POS.
- • Grill or steam hot dogs and warm buns using safe food-handling practices.
- • Assemble orders; add condiments, relishes, and garnishes as requested.
- • Serve food and beverages to walk-up customers at the cart, stand, or events.
- • Wrap hot dogs and bag takeout items for carryout.
- • Serve bottled, canned, or fountain beverages; refill as allowed.

- • Note shortages and coordinate resupply or commissary pickups; rotate stock by date.
- • Follow local health codes and permit requirements; keep licenses on-site.
- • Set up umbrellas or small seating where allowed; clear the area after use.
- • Train seasonal helpers on food safety and customer service, if applicable.
- • Track sales by item and time; report daily totals to the owner or manager.
- • Move the cart to approved locations or events; secure equipment and cash when unattended.
