Description
Handle, secure, verify, sort, package, and stage cash, coin, and other valuables in a high-security vault; maintain chain of custody, inventory accuracy, and safe movement to and from armored transport.
- • Attach identifying tags to sealed bags, coin boxes, and vault containers.
- • Review manifests, work orders, or oral instructions to determine deposits, change orders, and priorities.
- • Record counts, seal numbers, and units handled in logs or vault software; balance daily totals.
- • Move sealed containers between vault cages, counting stations, loading docks, and armored vehicles using carts or hand trucks.
- • Sort currency and coin by denomination and condition before packaging or shipment.
- • Assemble and label change-order boxes and shipping totes.
- • Pack and re-pack containers; replace damaged packaging and reseal under dual control.
- • Retrieve required tools, keys, seals, and supplies; return and secure them after use.
- • Apply tamper-evident seals, strapping, padding, or bracing to prevent loss or damage in transit.
- • Maintain organized, secure storage areas; protect inventory from damage and unauthorized access.
- • Assist with loading and unloading armored vehicles; guide handlers to ensure safe transfers.
- • Operate and adjust currency counters, coin sorters/wrappers, and strapping equipment.
- • Power up and test counting and security equipment at start of shift; report malfunctions.
