Description
Receive, stock, and organize merchandise in retail or warehouse settings. Replenish shelves, rotate inventory, maintain clean and safe stock areas, and assist with deliveries and inventory counts.
- • Unload deliveries and move merchandise to stockroom or sales floor using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- • Read work orders, planograms, or shelf labels to determine stocking locations and quantities.
- • Stock shelves, bins, and displays; face products and ensure accurate pricing and signage.
- • Rotate inventory using FIFO and remove expired, recalled, or damaged items.
- • Attach barcodes or identifying tags and update shelf labels as needed.
- • Record quantities stocked, overstock, and shrink using handheld scanners or logs.
- • Sort and stage merchandise by department, SKU, or priority before stocking.
- • Repack or re-label opened or damaged goods according to policy.
- • Organize and maintain backroom and storage areas for accessibility and safety.
- • Build or set up basic displays, end caps, and promotional stacks.
- • Maintain clean, clear aisles and follow safety procedures when using ladders or equipment.
- • Assist with cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
- • Provide basic customer assistance by locating items or directing to sales staff.
