- • Answer customer questions about instrument specifications, performance, pricing, availability, and credit terms.
- • Prepare quotes, bids, and tenders for instruments, accessories, and service packages.
- • Align instrument recommendations to customer applications and technical requirements; highlight capabilities and limitations.
- • Negotiate pricing, delivery, and contract terms.
- • Maintain CRM records for accounts, opportunities, demos, and service history.
- • Collaborate with sales engineers, application specialists, and marketing on strategy and competitive insights.
- • Create and deliver demos, presentations, and proposals detailing instrument specs and applications.
- • Coordinate or provide post-sale technical support with service and applications teams.
- • Communicate lead times, installation requirements, warranties, and service agreements.
- • Visit labs, plants, hospitals, and field sites to assess needs and promote solutions.
- • Complete activity logs, expense reports, and sales documentation.
- • Relay customer feedback and market needs to product and R&D teams.
- • Arrange site surveys, installation, calibration/validation, and user training.
- • Develop total cost of ownership and ROI analyses for instrument solutions.
- • Consult with engineers or technicians to resolve technical issues or configurations.
- • Manage demo units, samples, and promotional materials.
- • Monitor customer utilization and satisfaction to identify upsell or replacement opportunities.
- • Advise on safe operation, regulatory compliance, and end-of-life return or recycling.
- • Present sustainability features and environmental impacts of instruments when relevant.
- • Promote and sell instruments and solutions that meet environmental, safety, or remediation standards.
- • Prepare and submit accurate sales orders and contracts, including configurations and options.
- • Prospect and contact new and existing accounts to match instruments to application needs.
- • Guide customers in selecting instruments, accessories, and software per specs and standards.
- • Track orders and coordinate logistics to meet project timelines and site readiness.
- • Identify prospects via directories, referrals, organizations, digital campaigns, and trade shows.
- • Provide application guidance to improve throughput, accuracy, or compliance using instruments.
- • Study new instrument releases, manuals, and competitive offerings to maintain expertise.
- • Attend trade shows, trainings, and read industry publications to stay current on trends and regulations.
- • Sell maintenance plans, calibration services, and extended warranties.
- • Demonstrate instrument setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting in person or virtually.
- • Plan and execute campaigns and territory plans to achieve quota.
- • Verify bills of materials, configurations, and site requirements.
- • Verify customer credit and coordinate with finance as needed.
