Sell wholesale or manufactured goods to business customers primarily via phone, email, and online from an office setting. Requires strong product knowledge, consultative selling skills, and proficiency with CRM and order processing systems.
  • • Answer customers' questions about products, pricing, availability, delivery, and credit terms via phone, email, and chat.
  • • Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs and purchase history.
  • • Contact regular and prospective customers to present offerings, conduct virtual demos, and solicit orders.
  • • Prepare and send price quotes, terms, warranties, and estimated delivery dates.
  • • Follow up after orders or contracts to resolve issues and provide ongoing support.
  • • Create tailored proposals and bids that meet specific customer requirements.
  • • Provide digital catalogs, spec sheets, and product samples or swatches as applicable.
  • • Qualify and develop leads from marketing, web inquiries, and CRM lists; research prospects using directories and networks.
  • • Coordinate order fulfillment, shipping, and installation with logistics and service teams.
  • • Monitor market trends, product updates, and competitors' pricing and promotions.
  • • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipelines, forecasts, and sales activity reports.
  • • Collect and verify customer credit information per company policies.
  • • Enter and transmit orders to manufacturers or distribution centers accurately and promptly.
  • • Check inventory and backorders; communicate stock status and alternatives to customers.
  • • Advise retail accounts on merchandising, promotional programs, and advertising opportunities.
  • • Negotiate promotional placement, pricing incentives, and co-op advertising with retail buyers.
  • • Prepare sales contracts, order forms, and renewal documents for e-signature.
  • • Negotiate contract details, payment terms, and renewal pricing within approval limits.
