Description
Plan, direct, and coordinate the operation, maintenance, safety, and space utilization of buildings and grounds to deliver reliable, compliant, and cost-effective facilities that support organizational goals. Oversee custodial, maintenance, security, and vendor services across commercial, industrial, or institutional sites.
- • Inspect buildings, systems, and grounds to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- • Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
- • Manage daily facility operations, including custodial, security, and support services.
- • Develop and manage facility operating and capital budgets; approve invoices and track expenses.
- • Maintain records for maintenance, assets, warranties, permits, and compliance.
- • Supervise in-house staff and contractors; set expectations and evaluate performance.
- • Solicit and evaluate bids; negotiate and administer service and maintenance contracts.
- • Ensure compliance with building codes, fire/life safety, OSHA, ADA, and environmental regulations.

- • Analyze work orders, service metrics, and occupancy data to improve operations.
- • Purchase building supplies, tools, and equipment; manage inventory and deliveries.
- • Develop, implement, and enforce facility policies, SOPs, and safety procedures.
- • Prepare reports on facility conditions, projects, budgets, and KPIs for leadership.
- • Manage parking, landscaping, and snow or grounds services.
- • Oversee waste management, recycling, and hazardous materials handling per regulations.
- • Support workplace health and safety programs and incident investigations.
- • Coordinate after-hours events, maintenance shutdowns, and special access.
- • Use CMMS/BMS to plan work, track assets, and monitor building systems.
