Description
Develop, optimize, and maintain production plans to meet demand, capacity, and inventory targets. Create and adjust master production and work schedules; coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and logistics to align materials and resources; monitor execution, resolve constraints, and report on schedule adherence, inventory, costs, and production risks.
  • • Develop and maintain the master production schedule to meet demand, capacity, and inventory targets.
  • • Review forecasts, orders, BOMs, and routings to determine material and labor requirements and priorities.
  • • Run MRP/ERP to generate and align production, purchase, and transfer orders.
  • • Confer with production supervisors and team leads to assess progress, constraints, and required changes.
  • • Revise schedules for design changes, shortages, equipment downtime, quality issues, or rush orders.
  • • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers on material availability, delivery dates, and expedites.
  • • Monitor WIP, inventory levels, and throughput to ensure plan adherence and adjust as needed.
  • • Analyze capacity and level-load work centers; create finite schedules and sequencing.
  • • Calculate and communicate required labor, materials, and manufacturing costs for planned builds.
  • • Release and distribute work orders, travelers, and build schedules to operations.
  • • Compile and report KPIs, including schedule adherence, cycle time, on-time, in-full (OTIF), and inventory turns.
  • • Arrange kitting, staging, and deliveries of components to meet production starts.
  • • Maintain accurate planning data in ERP, including lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, and scrap factors.
  • • Prepare and maintain documentation for production sequences, change notices, and planning assumptions.
  • • Provide root-cause analysis and recovery plans for delays, variances, and cost impacts.
  • • Communicate commit dates and changes to internal teams and customers.
  • • Maintain records such as capacity plans, cost reports, and planning calendars.
