Description
Coordinate and accelerate the flow of materials, parts, and orders across purchasing, production, and logistics to meet schedule commitments. Track status, prioritize backlogs, resolve shortages and delays with suppliers and internal teams, and keep stakeholders informed with accurate updates and documentation.
  • • Monitor orders, work orders, and shipments to ensure on-time delivery and conformance to specifications.
  • • Review production schedules and purchase orders to determine priorities and material requirements.
  • • Confer with supervisors, buyers, planners, and engineers to assess progress and remove bottlenecks.
  • • Revise priorities or reschedule work in response to shortages, design changes, equipment issues, or other interruptions.
  • • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse teams to expedite shipments and resolve delays or complaints.
  • • Record and update order status, material usage, and quality holds in ERP/MRP or tracking systems.
  • • Requisition, pull, or arrange substitutions for materials to cover shortages and meet demand.
  • • Calculate lead times, required quantities, and expedite costs using standard tools or systems.
  • • Distribute updated work orders, pick lists, or delivery schedules to affected teams.
  • • Compile and publish status reports on production progress, inventory levels, and late or at-risk orders.
  • • Arrange transportation, delivery appointments, and special handling to meet critical due dates.
  • • Contact suppliers to confirm ship dates, tracking information, and documentation accuracy.
  • • Maintain logs and files, including purchase orders, shipping documents, and cost or exception reports.
  • • Support kitting and staging to deliver correct parts to the right work centers at the right time.
  • • Prepare and process expedite requests, change notices, and repair or return orders.
  • • Document root causes of delays and communicate recovery plans and impacts to cost or schedule.
