Description
Control and synchronize production schedules, work orders, and material availability to meet plan and on-time delivery goals. Monitor WIP, coordinate with production, procurement, engineering, and logistics to resolve constraints, and maintain accurate ERP/MRP data and performance reports.
- • Audit work orders, WIP, and documents to verify accuracy, completion, and conformance to specifications.
- • Review MPS/MRP, work orders, and capacity to set material and labor priorities.
- • Meet with supervisors and planners to assess progress and clear bottlenecks.
- • Revise and resequence schedules for ECOs, shortages, downtime, or demand changes.
- • Coordinate with vendors, logistics, and internal teams to expedite materials and shipments and remove delays.
- • Record and validate production, scrap, and material consumption data in ERP.
- • Initiate requisitions and maintain target inventory levels to meet production plans.
- • Calculate material and labor requirements and assess manufacturing cost impacts.
- • Release and distribute work orders, travelers, and schedule updates to departments.
- • Compile KPI reports on throughput, on-time delivery, WIP, and inventory status.
- • Arrange kitting, staging, and point-of-use delivery to keep lines supplied.
- • Confirm supplier commitments, ship dates, and ASN accuracy.
- • Maintain accurate ERP records, including BOMs, routings, and shipping/receiving documentation.
- • Build short- and mid-term production plans from sales forecasts and backlog.
- • Translate BOMs and routings into executable build plans with required tools, materials, and resources.
- • Prepare documentation for production sequences, purchase orders, and transportation requests.
- • Provide variance analyses and delay reports, noting impacts to costs and schedules.
