Description
Coordinate and expedite the movement of goods and related information across warehouses, carriers, and suppliers according to shipping and delivery schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing shipping orders and schedules; liaising with warehouse staff, carriers, and internal departments to track progress and delivery dates; and compiling reports on shipment status, inventory levels, freight costs, and logistics issues.
  • • Inspect shipping documents, packaging, and inbound/outbound goods to verify accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • • Review shipping schedules, purchase orders, and demand forecasts to determine carrier, routing, and packing priorities.
  • • Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and transportation teams to assess shipment progress and needed changes.
  • • Update shipping and delivery schedules due to carrier delays, stockouts, or urgent orders, collaborating with operations, sales, and vendors.
  • • Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to arrange pickups and deliveries, resolve issues, and eliminate delays.
  • • Record logistics data, including shipments processed, transit times, damages, and exceptions.
  • • Replenish and maintain shipping supplies and packaging materials to meet fulfillment demand.
  • • Calculate freight charges, dimensional weight, and landed costs using rate tables and systems.
  • • Distribute pick lists, packing slips, and shipping schedules to warehouse staff.
  • • Compile shipment status, inventory balances, carrier performance metrics, and customer delivery data for reports.
  • • Arrange transportation and routing to expedite movement of goods and meet delivery targets.
  • • Contact carriers and vendors to confirm pickup windows, tracking numbers, and delivery appointments.
  • • Maintain shipping records, bills of lading, customs forms, proofs of delivery, and cost reports.
  • • Plan inbound and outbound shipping timetables for sites or programs using demand and inventory forecasts.
  • • Prepare shipping instructions, routing guides, dock schedules, required equipment and packaging, and freight cost estimates.
  • • Compile and prepare transportation documents, delivery schedules, purchase or return orders, and warehouse transfer paperwork.
  • • Provide documentation explaining delays, damages, accessorial charges, or changes to freight estimates.
