Description
Execute end-to-end e-commerce order fulfillment by picking, packing, and shipping customer orders; maintaining inventory and shipping supplies; processing returns; updating order status and documentation; and meeting accuracy, speed, safety, and quality standards.
- • Restock shelves and bins to maintain optimal pick-face levels.
- • Identify low or out-of-stock items and alert purchasing or planning.
- • Process returns and RMAs; inspect, disposition, and restock or quarantine items.
- • Handle international shipments, completing customs forms and documentation.
- • Comply with hazmat, fragile, or temperature-control handling and labeling.
- • Track and resolve shipment exceptions, delays, or lost-package claims with carriers.
- • Insert promotional materials or compliance documents per order requirements.
- • Collaborate with warehouse, customer service, and marketing on fulfillment priorities.
- • Monitor fulfillment dashboards and KPIs such as accuracy and on-time ship.
- • Follow security and data privacy practices to protect inventory and customer information.
- • Keep workstations clean and organized; follow 5S and safety procedures.
- • Operate carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment safely.
- • Troubleshoot basic printer, scanner, or label issues and escalate when needed.
- • Support kitting, bundling, or light assembly for special orders.
- • Pick items for customer orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
- • Verify SKUs, quantities, lots, or serial numbers before packing.
- • Inspect items for defects or damage prior to shipment.
- • Pack orders using appropriate boxes, cushioning, and dunnage.
- • Generate and affix shipping labels, packing slips, and invoices.
- • Weigh parcels and select carrier services per cost and SLA.
- • Trigger shipment confirmations and tracking notifications in the order system.
- • Schedule carrier pickups and hand off packages to carriers.
- • Process order cancellations, edits, or holds and return items to stock.
- • Resolve address issues or delivery restrictions by coordinating with customer service.
- • Create, manage, and print orders or batches in order management software.
- • Update order records, notes, and tracking numbers accurately.
- • Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and initiate replenishment.
- • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
- • Transfer orders to manufacturers, 3PLs, or drop-ship partners as required.
- • Prepare documentation and invoices for B2B or wholesale shipments.
- • Report process bottlenecks and suggest continuous improvement ideas.
- • Record damages or discrepancies and file carrier or supplier claims.
