Plan and execute online merchandising to maximize sales and margin across digital channels. Manage product assortment, pricing, content, and on-site placement; optimize category pages and search; coordinate promotions; analyze performance; and partner with buying, marketing, and operations to ensure accurate availability and a seamless customer experience.
  • • Stay current on e-commerce merchandising, UX, SEO, and platform trends via forums, webinars, and conferences.
  • • Upload and quality-check product images, videos, and rich media to the storefront and marketplaces.
  • • Plan assortments and partner with buyers to maintain optimal inventory levels and depth.
  • • Ensure stock status, lead times, and backorder messaging are accurate across the site.
  • • Align online merchandising and promotions with stores and catalog for an omnichannel experience.
  • • Set or recommend product pricing and promotional strategies by channel.
  • • Ensure product detail pages display accurate shipping, returns, warranty, and policy information.
  • • Merchandise products within email campaigns and triggered messages in coordination with CRM teams.
  • • Manage product catalog, SKUs, and attributes using PIM/OMS or e-commerce platforms.
  • • Leverage customer segments and behavioral data to tailor merchandising and recommendations.
  • • Develop digital promotional assets and briefs for banners, landing pages, and category headers.
  • • Collaborate with paid search and shopping teams to optimize product feeds and placements.
  • • Monitor stockouts and delivery constraints; update listings or pause promotions as needed.
  • • Publish digital downloads or gift cards where applicable and ensure delivery workflows function.
  • • Administer merchandising tools such as site search tuning, recommendations, and A/B testing.
  • • Coordinate product merchandising across social commerce, affiliates, and influencer campaigns.
  • • Coordinate with fulfillment to align delivery promises, packaging notes, and cutoff times on-site.
  • • Analyze site metrics and funnel behavior to improve conversion, findability, and content.
  • • Assess competitor assortments, pricing, and market trends to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • • Conduct market and customer research to validate merchandising opportunities and product viability.
  • • Manage deals, flash sales, and marketplace event participation.
  • • Ensure content complies with brand, legal, and accessibility standards; follow data privacy guidelines.
  • • Own category taxonomy, navigation, and facet strategy for product discovery.
  • • Build seasonal and campaign merchandising plans with forecasts and inventory targets.
  • • Optimize product placement on home, category, search, and recommendation zones.
  • • Merchandise pages using the CMS and partner with UX/design on templates and layout.
  • • Partner with customer service to resolve product content issues and capture insights for improvements.
  • • Brief, schedule, and quality-check product photography, video, and 360 assets.
  • • Configure pricing rules, coupons, bundles, and shipping messaging in the platform.
  • • Verify display of payment options, financing, and tax/shipping calculators on PDP and cart.
  • • Write and optimize product titles, descriptions, and metadata for SEO and conversion.
  • • Recommend new SKUs or brands based on performance data and customer demand.
  • • Author clear, accurate, and compliant product copy and size/spec guides.
  • • Report on sales, margin, inventory, and merchandising KPIs; present insights and actions.
