Description
Engineer and oversee gas compression and pumping systems, including design, commissioning, and optimization. Manage transmission, compression, and recovery of gases such as butane, nitrogen, hydrogen, and natural gas while ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
  • • Monitor SCADA, meters, and pressure/flow data to assess demand and system performance.
  • • Develop and adjust control strategies, setpoints, and valve schedules to meet specifications.
  • • Validate gas metering and maintain accurate operational and compliance records.
  • • Specify, select, and commission compressors, pumps, and auxiliary equipment.
  • • Analyze instrument trends and document operational changes in engineering logs.
  • • Direct operators during startups, shutdowns, and equipment changeovers.
  • • Configure and tune control system parameters to regulate pressures and flows.
  • • Troubleshoot alarms and upsets; coordinate field adjustments and corrective actions.
  • • Define sampling plans and analyze gas quality, moisture, and sulfur content or coordinate lab testing.
  • • Develop preventive maintenance plans and procedures for lubrication, filters, and seals.
  • • Prepare daily and periodic performance reports and improvement recommendations.
  • • Plan tie-ins and pipeline connections; develop isolation plans and permits for filling or blowdown.
  • • Conduct site audits and enforce safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance.
