Description
Coordinate and expedite domestic and international shipments by scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documents, and routing freight across approved carriers. Calculate charges and tariffs, ensure regulatory and carrier compliance, communicate with customers and warehouse teams, and track deliveries to on-time, damage-free completion.
  • • Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and internal teams.
  • • Determine shipment method and book carriers to meet cost and service goals.
  • • Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, labels, and other shipping documents.
  • • Create commercial invoices and export documents; assign HS codes and tariffs.
  • • Estimate freight charges, duties, and accessorials; record shipment costs and weights.
  • • Enter and maintain shipment data in ERP/TMS and generate bar-code labels.
  • • Track and trace shipments; communicate status and exceptions to stakeholders.
  • • Coordinate dock assignments and loading plans; verify even weight distribution.
  • • Inspect and count outbound and inbound items; document shortages or damage.
  • • Ensure proper packaging and load securement; arrange straps, braces, or padding as needed.
  • • Direct drivers to docks or marshaling areas and oversee safe loading and unloading.
  • • Maintain records of all goods shipped, received, and stored.
  • • Manage inventory movements related to shipments, receipts, and returns.
  • • Retrieve and route orders or stored items; expedite urgent shipments.
  • • Resolve shipment issues with vendors, carriers, or claims departments.
  • • Arrange cargo insurance and file or assist with freight claims.
  • • Prepare and submit import and export clearances and documentation as required.
  • • Notify customers of shipment or delivery status and arrange final delivery.
  • • Maintain supplies of shipping materials and request replenishment.
  • • Coordinate and supervise packing and shipping activities as needed.
  • • Apply address labels, identification codes, and shipping instructions to containers.
  • • Route goods to appropriate carriers or storage areas using material-handling equipment.
  • • Reconcile carrier invoices; approve charges or dispute discrepancies.
  • • Comply with company, carrier, customs, and safety regulations.
