Description
Plan, coordinate, and manage domestic and international cargo movements for clients across air, ocean, rail, and truck. Book capacity, consolidate freight, and oversee documentation, customs compliance, and insurance from pickup to final delivery. Calculate rates and tariffs, prepare transport documents, and track shipments to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery.
  • • Resolve delays, holds, or service failures with carriers, terminals, and authorities.
  • • Negotiate carrier rates and space and book air, ocean, and ground shipments.
  • • Advise clients on mode selection, transit times, Incoterms, and payment options.
  • • Determine routing and prepare bills of lading, air waybills, and other shipping documents.
  • • Quote and record freight rates, surcharges, duties, taxes, weights, and dimensions.
  • • Enter shipment data in TMS and carrier or customs portals; issue labels and documents.
  • • Arrange cargo pickup, line-haul, drayage, and final-mile delivery schedules.
  • • Coordinate consolidation, cross-dock, and warehousing services with partners.
  • • Reconcile cargo receipts with documentation; resolve shortages, overages, or damages.
  • • Arrange packing, crating, and labeling services to meet carrier and regulatory rules.
  • • Advise on container loading plans, weight limits, and Verified Gross Mass requirements.
  • • Maintain complete shipment, billing, and compliance records and proofs of delivery.
  • • Arrange cargo insurance and assist with loss or damage claims.
  • • Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with export and import regulations.
  • • Classify goods with HS/HTS codes and estimate duties, taxes, and fees.
  • • Prepare house and master bills and manifests; submit AMS, ACI, ENS, or similar filings.
  • • Coordinate customs clearance with brokers and schedule exams, fumigation, or inspections.
  • • Review letters of credit and documentary requirements and present compliant document sets.
  • • Perform export controls and sanctions screening for parties, end use, and destinations.
  • • Monitor shipments end to end and provide proactive status updates and exception handling.
  • • Notify consignees of arrivals and arrange release, delivery orders, and appointments.
  • • Maintain relationships with carriers, truckers, warehouses, and service vendors.
  • • Arrange specialized services such as temperature control, oversized loads, or project cargo.
  • • Invoice shipments, reconcile charges, and support credit and collections activities.
