Description
Perform a variety of attending duties in public parks, including scheduling facility use, issuing and maintaining equipment, collecting fees, providing visitor information, and keeping grounds and facilities safe, clean, and compliant with park rules.
  • • Provide information about park facilities, hours, programs, trails, and rules.
  • • Record attendance, fees, reservations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • • Monitor activities to enforce rules and safety procedures; address or report violations.
  • • Collect entrance, parking, rental, or permit fees and issue receipts.
  • • Follow opening/closing, emergency, severe weather, and evacuation procedures.
  • • Clean and restock restrooms, shelters, playgrounds, and common areas.
  • • Post advisories, closures, maps, and program information for visitors.
  • • Issue, fit, or check safety gear such as life jackets or helmets for rentals.
  • • Inspect playgrounds, shelters, grills, docks, and equipment; perform minor repairs and adjustments.
  • • Operate or explain use of park equipment such as boat launches, paddleboats, or lighting.
  • • Rent, sell, or issue recreational equipment and supplies, such as balls, discs, or boats.
  • • Verify permits and reservations for shelters, fields, courts, and special events.
  • • Direct visitors to trails, shelters, fields, picnic areas, and parking.
  • • Assist patrons with boat launches, mobility devices, strollers, or group setup.
  • • Sell and serve refreshments at concessions when applicable.
  • • Schedule and prepare fields, courts, shelters, or stages for games and events.
  • • Maintain inventories; store, retrieve, assemble, and secure equipment and supplies.
