Description
Support golfers on the course by carrying bags, providing yardages and course guidance, maintaining equipment and course conditions, and helping ensure etiquette, safety, and pace of play.
  • • Provide course information, yardages, green reads, and guidance on etiquette and rules.
  • • Carry golf bags or perform forecaddie duties for the group throughout the round.
  • • Record scores and basic statistics as requested by players or the club.
  • • Monitor pace of play and safety; alert players to hazards and weather conditions.
  • • Communicate with the starter and golf shop regarding tee times, group assignments, and course updates.
  • • Stay informed of lightning, severe weather, and evacuation procedures.
  • • Clean clubs and balls; rake bunkers; repair ball marks and replace divots.
  • • Brief players on hole strategy, target lines, and hazard locations.
  • • Secure bags and accessories; ensure safe use of carts or push carts when applicable.
  • • Inspect bags and equipment; adjust straps and perform minor fixes to accessories.
  • • Operate or assist with push carts, rangefinders, and GPS devices.
  • • Ensure players have adequate supplies such as balls, tees, markers, towels, and water.
  • • Check in with the starter and verify tee time and group order.
  • • Guide players to the correct tees, identify yardage markers, and tend or remove the flagstick on greens.
  • • Assist players on uneven terrain, in bunkers, or crossing bridges; track balls in flight and locate shots.
  • • Arrange or retrieve on-course refreshments when requested and permitted by club policy.
  • • Organize and maintain each player's bag, and handle bag drop-off and pickup before and after rounds.
