Description
Serve customers at concession stands in amusement, sports, or recreation venues by preparing and selling food and beverages, processing payments, and providing courteous service. Set up, stock, and maintain stands and equipment, uphold food-safety and sanitation standards, and promote menu items. May perform basic equipment maintenance and assist with opening, closing, and inventory.
  • • Provide information about menu items, prices, promotions, and venue policies.
  • • Record sales, receipts, cash counts, waste, and inventory usage.
  • • Monitor the service area for safety and sanitation; escalate unruly behavior to security.
  • • Collect payments and process POS transactions.
  • • Follow opening, closing, and emergency evacuation procedures.
  • • Clean and sanitize counters, equipment, utensils, and customer areas.
  • • Promote specials and upsell food and beverage items.
  • • Safely package and hand off hot or allergen-sensitive items with guidance to guests.
  • • Inspect concession equipment for wear; perform minor adjustments and report issues.
  • • Operate grills, warmers, popcorn machines, fryers, and beverage dispensers.
  • • Stock, rotate, and sell packaged snacks, beverages, and supplies.
  • • Verify age for restricted purchases and comply with ID policies.
  • • Direct patrons to seating, restrooms, and other amenities.
  • • Assemble orders accurately and assist guests with large or accessibility-related needs.
  • • Sell and serve refreshments, following portion and presentation standards.
  • • Maintain inventories of food and supplies; set up and break down the stand.
  • • Maintain temperature logs and comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.
