Description
Check and scan tickets at venue entrances, verify eligibility for entry, manage queues and re-entry, provide basic directions and safety guidance, and assist with patron needs at access points.
  • • Keep the entry area clear, safe, and presentable.
  • • Greet patrons at entry points.
  • • Examine and scan tickets or passes to verify validity.
  • • Troubleshoot barcode or mobile ticket issues.
  • • Refuse entry to persons without valid credentials or violating policies.
  • • Count and record tickets collected and attendance totals.
  • • Manage entry queues to maintain safe, efficient flow.
  • • Enforce venue safety, bag, and prohibited-items policies at gates.
  • • Issue wristbands or hand stamps for age-restricted areas or re-entry.
  • • Provide door checks for patrons temporarily leaving.
  • • Direct patrons to seats, restrooms, concessions, and services.
  • • Assist patrons with special needs at entry, including accessible access.
  • • Guide patrons to exits or provide instructions during emergencies.
  • • Verify credentials for restricted zones such as VIP, suites, or press.
  • • Distribute programs, maps, or event notices at entrances.
  • • Resolve basic ticket or seating questions and escalate as needed.
  • • Coordinate with ushers, box office, and security on entry issues.
  • • Report suspicious activity, counterfeit tickets, or security concerns.
  • • Handle lost-and-found inquiries at gates or direct to the proper desk.
  • • Page individuals to the box office when requested.
