Description
Patrol and monitor premises to deter theft, violence, and policy violations; control access; operate screening equipment; respond to incidents and emergencies without firearms by observing, reporting, and coordinating with authorities.
  • • Patrol premises to detect intrusion and ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure.
  • • Write clear incident and daily activity reports.
  • • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances; assess and report findings.
  • • Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors; verify IDs and badges.
  • • Monitor CCTV and security systems; document and escalate irregularities.
  • • Contact police, fire, or EMS for emergencies or criminal activity.
  • • Circulate among patrons or employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • • Provide customer service, answer questions, and handle after-hours calls.
  • • Issue verbal warnings for rule violations; de-escalate conflicts and request law enforcement when necessary.
  • • Operate metal detectors, x-ray scanners, and wands to prevent prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
  • • Inspect and test security equipment; report malfunctions or signs of tampering.
  • • Lock and unlock facilities per post orders; maintain key and badge control.
  • • Respond to medical incidents; provide basic first aid or CPR if trained until help arrives.
  • • Conduct foot or vehicle patrols of parking areas and provide escorts upon request.
