Description
Prevent and reduce theft and shrink by monitoring retail sales floors and stockrooms, observing CCTV, and enforcing asset protection policies. May conduct apprehensions, recover merchandise, and coordinate with law enforcement.
- • Patrol sales floor, fitting rooms, and stock areas to deter theft and identify suspicious activity.
- • Respond to EAS alarms and investigate disturbances or suspected theft incidents.
- • Monitor employee, vendor, and visitor access to restricted areas; conduct bag and receipt checks per policy.
- • Document incidents, apprehensions, and daily activities; maintain accurate loss reports and case files.
- • Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders during incidents or emergencies.
- • Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and support a safe shopping environment.
- • Operate CCTV, EAS, and exception-reporting systems to detect theft and policy violations.
- • Confront, detain, and process shoplifters in accordance with laws and company policy; de-escalate conflicts.
- • Conduct audits of POS, inventory, and compliance to identify shrink trends and internal theft.
- • Inspect and test EAS pedestals, cameras, locks, and merchandise protection devices; report malfunctions or tampering.
- • Provide escorts for cash pickups, high-value merchandise, or contractors as needed.
- • Secure stockrooms, fitting rooms, and entrances at opening and closing; control keys and alarms.
- • Assist with organized retail crime investigations through surveillance, intelligence gathering, and case coordination.
- • Assist in emergencies, including medical incidents or evacuations, by following safety protocols and obtaining assistance.
