Description
Patrol and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, and rule violations; enforce security procedures and operate x-ray and metal detector equipment as needed.
- • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- • Patrol industrial or commercial premises to detect intrusion and ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure.
- • Monitor and authorize entry and exit of employees, visitors, and contractors to prevent theft and maintain security.
- • Document daily activities and irregularities, including damage, theft, unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- • Contact police, fire, or emergency services during emergencies such as fire or unauthorized presence.
- • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- • Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information after hours.
- • Warn individuals of rule violations and detain or remove violators when necessary, using force per policy.
- • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
- • Escort individuals or drive to transport them to specified locations or provide personal protection.
- • Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, or machinery to ensure proper operation and detect tampering.
- • Monitor and adjust building controls such as HVAC, furnace, or boiler systems.
- • Lock doors and gates at entrances and exits to secure buildings.
- • Respond to medical emergencies by providing basic first aid or summoning paramedics.
