Description
Provide one-on-one coaching to help clients improve fitness, health, and performance. Assess fitness levels, set goals, design individualized programs, demonstrate proper technique, and ensure safe, effective workouts. Monitor progress, adjust plans, and offer basic guidance on nutrition and lifestyle within scope while maintaining accurate records.
  • • Explain and enforce safety rules and proper equipment use.
  • • Provide exercise regressions and progressions to match client abilities.
  • • Design individualized, periodized training programs based on goals and constraints.
  • • Demonstrate exercises and correct technique and posture during sessions.
  • • Teach proper breathing and bracing during lifts and conditioning.
  • • Coach clients to manage intensity and pacing to maximize training benefits.
  • • Instruct safe use of free weights, machines, and functional tools.
  • • Inspect and maintain training equipment used with clients.
  • • Conduct fitness assessments, movement screens, and goal setting.
  • • Monitor progress with metrics and adapt programs as needed.
  • • Review health histories and contraindications; refer or coordinate with healthcare providers when appropriate.
  • • Provide basic guidance on nutrition, weight control, sleep, and lifestyle within scope of practice.
  • • Administer basic first aid and refer injured clients to physicians or therapists.
  • • Advise on appropriate footwear, attire, and personal gear.
  • • Plan comprehensive routines that target major muscle groups and movement patterns.
  • • Lead conditioning, mobility, and flexibility sessions.
  • • Educate clients on warm-up, cooldown, and recovery techniques (e.g., stretching, foam rolling).
  • • Promote personal training services and maintain accurate client records.
  • • Maintain equipment inventories and select or issue training tools as needed.
  • • Maintain a clean, safe training environment.
