Description
Lead group classes and one-on-one sessions to improve personal fitness. Demonstrate safe exercise techniques, observe and correct form, tailor programs to individual goals and abilities, and maintain a motivating, safe training environment.
- • Explain and enforce safety rules and proper use of exercise equipment.
- • Demonstrate exercises and correct participants' form and technique.
- • Offer exercise modifications to accommodate different fitness levels and limitations.
- • Plan class formats, playlists, and movement sequences targeting major muscle groups.
- • Teach proper breathing and pacing during workouts.
- • Coach participants to manage intensity and monitor exertion safely.
- • Evaluate clients' fitness levels, goals, and limitations to design individualized programs.
- • Monitor progress and adjust programs or cues as needed.
- • Lead warm-ups, cool-downs, and stretching for injury prevention and recovery.
- • Teach safe use of free weights, resistance machines, and functional training tools.
- • Maintain, clean, and set up fitness equipment and studio spaces.
- • Provide basic guidance on nutrition, hydration, and healthy lifestyle habits within scope.
- • Advise clients on appropriate workout attire and footwear.
- • Document sessions, attendance, and client progress as required.
- • Communicate class offerings, motivate participation, and support member retention.
- • Administer basic first aid and respond to emergencies; escalate when necessary.
- • Conduct fitness assessments and track metrics such as heart rate, reps, and measurements.
- • Orient new members to facility layout, policies, and equipment.
