Description
Operate verifying machines to check the accuracy of previously keyed or scanned data on cards, forms, or electronic files. Duties include comparing machine output to source documents, correcting errors, and preparing verified batches for processing or printing.
  • • Read source documents and re-key or scan fields on verifying equipment to confirm accuracy.
  • • Compile, batch, and sort documents prior to verification.
  • • Compare machine output with source documents or re-enter data in verify mode to detect discrepancies.
  • • Identify and correct data or formatting errors, or escalate issues to supervisors.
  • • Maintain logs of verification runs, exceptions, and completed batches.
  • • Load and unload machines with input/output media, paper, ribbons, or cartridges.
  • • File or route verified documents and digital files to designated locations.
  • • Prepare verified batches and control sheets for downstream processing or printing.
  • • Clear jams, adjust settings, and perform basic cleaning to keep verifying equipment operating.
