Description
Support the credit department by processing applications, verifying customer information, and maintaining accurate credit and billing records. Compile and review credit data to assist approval decisions, set up accounts after authorization, and prepare statements and reports. Communicate with applicants, customers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and manage delinquencies.
  • • Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications, charges, payments, and account status.
  • • Collect, verify, and enter applicant data from forms, credit bureaus, banks, and public records.
  • • Pre-screen applications against established criteria and route exceptions to credit analysts or authorizers.
  • • Request missing documents and clarify discrepancies with applicants via phone or email.
  • • Generate and send monthly statements and notices to customers.
  • • Post payments, credits, and adjustments to customer accounts.
  • • Reconcile account balances and resolve posting errors.
  • • Monitor aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and initiate collection reminders.
  • • Place or release credit holds based on guidelines and approvals.
  • • Communicate credit decisions and account changes to customers and internal teams.
  • • Prepare routine credit reports, summaries, and correspondence.
  • • Maintain organized digital and physical files of credit documents and authorizations.
  • • Set up new customer accounts and update credit limits after approval.
  • • Respond to inquiries and resolve billing or credit transaction issues.
  • • Relay verified credit status information to sales, service, and collections staff as appropriate.
  • • Ensure compliance with company policies, privacy laws, and documentation standards.
