Description
Assess and manage credit risk for individuals and businesses by analyzing financial and credit data. Prepare recommendations on approvals, limits, terms, and collateral; monitor account performance; and ensure compliance while supporting timely lending and account decisions.
  • • Gather and verify applicant financial and credit information from statements, reports, and third-party sources.
  • • Spread and analyze financial statements, cash flows, and key ratios to assess repayment capacity.
  • • Evaluate credit bureau data, payment histories, and scoring outputs to inform decisions.
  • • Assign risk ratings and recommend credit limits, terms, and collateral requirements.
  • • Prepare concise credit memos with findings, rationale, and approval recommendations.
  • • Conduct borrower, industry, and market analysis to identify key risks and mitigants.
  • • Review public records for liens, bankruptcies, judgments, or tax issues.
  • • Communicate with applicants and relationship managers to clarify data and resolve discrepancies.
  • • Ensure application files are complete, accurate, and compliant with policies and regulations.
  • • Monitor existing accounts for covenant compliance, utilization, and early warning signs.
  • • Track and report portfolio performance, delinquencies, and exposure metrics.
  • • Collaborate with collections to develop action plans for past-due or high-risk accounts.
  • • Update credit systems with decisions, notes, and supporting documentation.
  • • Respond to internal inquiries and provide credit information to stakeholders.
  • • Conduct periodic reviews, renewals, and annual reassessments of credit lines.
  • • Present analyses and recommendations to credit committee or approvers.
