Description
Evaluate and approve customer credit, manage accounts receivable, and drive timely collections. Analyze credit data, set limits and terms, place and release order holds, resolve billing issues, and maintain strong customer and cross-functional relationships in line with policy and regulations.
- • Review and process credit applications and new account setups.
- • Pull and analyze credit reports, financial statements, and trade references to assess risk.
- • Recommend and set credit limits, terms, and collateral per policy.
- • Monitor AR aging and payment trends to identify delinquent or high-risk accounts.
- • Place, review, and release order holds based on exposure and payment status.
- • Contact customers to collect past-due balances via phone, email, and portals.
- • Negotiate payment plans, settlements, and promise-to-pay commitments.
- • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short pays, and disputes with internal teams and customers.
- • Coordinate cash application and payment mispostings with accounting.
- • Prepare and send invoices, statements, and dunning notices.
- • Maintain detailed notes and records of charges, payments, and collection activities in ERP/CRM.
- • Obtain and verify customer information from banks, credit bureaus, and public records.
- • Communicate credit decisions, risk changes, and account status to sales and management.
- • Prepare credit and collections reports, forecasts, and recommendations.
- • Escalate severely delinquent accounts to third-party collections, legal, or write-off approval per policy.
- • Ensure adherence to company credit policies and applicable regulations.
