Description
Administer the credit approval and account management process for individual and commercial customers. Evaluate creditworthiness, set and maintain credit limits, and ensure timely, compliant processing of applications, changes, and collection activities. Coordinate with sales and accounting to mitigate risk while supporting business objectives.
  • • Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications, charges, payments, and limits.
  • • Compile, analyze, and document credit information from internal and external sources.
  • • Obtain and verify credit data from banks, credit bureaus, trade references, and public records.
  • • Interview applicants by phone or online to collect financial and identity information.
  • • Evaluate credit reports, scores, and payment histories to approve or decline within authority.
  • • Set up new customer accounts and update master data in credit systems.
  • • Process credit limit changes, terms, and credit holds according to policy.
  • • Issue customer statements and payment reminders.
  • • Monitor receivables aging and delinquency; initiate collection activities and escalations.
  • • Release or place holds on orders based on credit status and exposure.
  • • Communicate credit decisions, terms, and requirements to customers and internal teams.
  • • Resolve billing issues, disputes, and payment discrepancies with customers.
  • • Prepare credit reviews, risk assessments, and recommendations for management.
  • • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and privacy regulations.
  • • Coordinate with sales, accounting, and legal on high-risk accounts and payment arrangements.
  • • Maintain organized digital credit files and audit-ready documentation.
