Description
Apply civil and construction engineering principles to plan, lay out, inspect, test, and document construction of infrastructure and facilities under the direction of engineers, ensuring conformance with plans, specifications, safety, and quality standards.
  • • Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate dimensions, elevations, and material needs using plans and field data.
  • • Draft and update shop and as-built drawings and layout sketches in CAD/BIM to meet specifications.
  • • Analyze site conditions and prepare maps, profiles, and diagrams to support field decisions.
  • • Review plans, specifications, and submittals; verify requirements in the field.
  • • Prepare daily reports, test results, photos, and project documentation.
  • • Coordinate with engineers and supervisors on work plans, acceptance testing, and field changes.
  • • Inspect construction activities and materials for quality, code, and specification compliance; document deficiencies.
  • • Perform construction layout and surveying with GPS/total station; set control and stakeout.
  • • Assist with cost estimates, change orders, and value engineering.
  • • Identify field issues and recommend corrective actions to resolve conflicts.
  • • Conduct field and laboratory tests on soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates; interpret and report results.
  • • Track installed quantities and support progress payments and budget monitoring.
  • • Support procurement and pricing by obtaining quotes and validating quantities.
  • • Promote and enforce site safety and environmental compliance.
