Description
Apply civil engineering theory to support planning, design, analysis, and construction of infrastructure and facilities, performing advanced drafting, modeling, testing, and field coordination under the direction of professional engineers.
- • Calculate dimensions, grades, component specifications, and material quantities using CAD/BIM and spreadsheets.
- • Produce detailed drawings, models, and design layouts to meet codes and project specifications.
- • Analyze site conditions and prepare maps, cross-sections, and diagrams to document findings.
- • Review plans and specifications to confirm dimensions, materials, and constructability.
- • Compile calculations, test results, and daily reports to document project activities.
- • Coordinate with engineers on plan production, acceptance testing, and field evaluations.
- • Perform site inspections and verify contractor work for compliance with plans, codes, and QA/QC standards.
- • Plan and perform field surveys, topographic data collection, and as-built measurements.
- • Assist in developing design plans and preparing quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
