Plan, direct, and coordinate environmental engineering programs, projects, and research to ensure regulatory compliance, sustainability, and operational performance.
- • Confer with operations, EHS, and management to define environmental engineering specifications and procedures.
- • Plan or direct installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of pollution control and environmental monitoring systems.
- • Present environmental proposals, permits, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholders.
- • Consult or negotiate with clients and regulators to prepare environmental project scopes and specifications.
- • Develop and implement programs to improve sustainability and reduce environmental impacts.
- • Interpret environmental regulations and stakeholder expectations to guide strategy and operations.
- • Evaluate environmental impacts of operations, capital projects, and R&D via assessments and modeling.
- • Identify environmental risks and opportunities associated with new processes and technologies.

- • Recruit, assign, and evaluate environmental engineering and compliance staff.
- • Review, recommend, and approve vendor contracts, proposals, and cost estimates.
- • Develop and implement environmental policies, standards, and procedures (e.g., ISO 14001).
- • Oversee reporting, audits, and metrics; approve expenditures and ensure rule enforcement.
- • Set environmental performance goals and KPIs aligned with corporate strategy.
- • Build support by engaging regulatory agencies, community groups, and the public.
