Description
Plan, coordinate, and deliver workforce development programs that build in-demand skills and connect job seekers to quality employment. Assess labor market and participant needs, partner with employers and training providers, and evaluate outcomes to improve program effectiveness.
- • Stay current on labor market trends, industry credentials, and workforce policies.
- • Deliver job readiness, career exploration, and upskilling workshops using varied instructional methods.
- • Coordinate class schedules and cohort logistics with providers, venues, and instructors.
- • Develop or source programs that build in-demand skills and credentials for target populations.
- • Track participant enrollment, services, credentials, placements, and retention to evaluate results.
- • Attend employer, community, and workforce board meetings to gather needs and report program status.
- • Recruit, screen, and enroll participants; coordinate job placement and work-based learning.
- • Review and approve curricula and training materials from providers for relevance and quality.
- • Adjust curriculum, coaching, or service strategies when outcomes lag.
- • Assess needs through intakes, skills assessments, labor market analysis, and employer consultations.

- • Negotiate MOUs, training agreements, or OJT/apprenticeship terms with employers.
- • Refer participants to job placement resources, supportive services, or social service agencies.
- • Design and implement sector-based training, apprenticeships, or bridge programs aligned to demand.
- • Evaluate and optimize in-person, hybrid, and virtual delivery for access, cost, and effectiveness.
- • Plan and lead participant orientations, hiring events, and employer information sessions.
- • Develop and maintain guides, curricula, and job search materials.
- • Manage program budgets, grants, compliance, and reporting.
- • Supervise, coach, and evaluate instructors or career coaches; arrange professional development.
