Description
Perform detailed on-site and remote evaluations to determine solar feasibility, capture structural and electrical data, model production, and deliver reports that guide system design, permitting, and accurate pricing.
  • • Schedule and conduct residential and commercial solar site assessments.
  • • Measure roofs and grounds; record tilt, azimuth, setbacks, and array dimensions using field tools and software.
  • • Perform shading and solar resource analysis to estimate energy production.
  • • Inspect roof and structural elements; document condition, framing, penetrations, and load considerations.
  • • Evaluate electrical service and interconnection points; capture panel ratings, breaker sizes, conductor paths, and upgrade needs.
  • • Create preliminary array layouts, site plans, and single-line diagram markups for design review.
  • • Compile detailed site assessment reports with photos, measurements, constraints, and recommendations.
  • • Provide system sizing, production estimates, and balance-of-system inputs to support accurate proposals and pricing.
  • • Verify local codes, fire setbacks, and utility interconnection requirements impacting design and placement.
  • • Coordinate findings with sales, engineering, and permitting teams to refine scope and mitigate site risks.
  • • Educate customers on assessment results, system options, incentives, and next steps.
  • • Enter assessment data into CRM and design software; maintain organized project records.
  • • Maintain assessment and safety equipment; follow OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • • Support permit package preparation by reviewing or updating drawings, specifications, and equipment lists.
