Description
Plan, direct, and coordinate social service programs and client support operations. Manage budgets, staffing, and policies for eligibility, service delivery, and benefits. Supervise social workers, case managers, and counselors to ensure compliance, quality, and outcomes.
  • • Build and maintain partnerships with health, housing, courts, schools, and community agencies to coordinate services and avoid duplication.
  • • Prepare and maintain program records, case data, and reports, including budgets, personnel files, and training materials.
  • • Direct daily activities of social workers, case managers, clinicians, and volunteers.
  • • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, caseloads, and service quality to ensure effective use of resources.
  • • Develop and oversee administrative workflows, intake procedures, and service standards aligned with leadership objectives.
  • • Set or recommend policies on client eligibility, service levels, confidentiality, and benefits.
  • • Assess community and client needs using data and feedback to guide program goals and service design.
  • • Present to community groups to explain services, access points, and program policies.
  • • Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard staff and volunteers.
  • • Represent the program with funders, government agencies, referral sources, and media as appropriate.
  • • Plan, manage, and reconcile program budgets, contracts, and procurement.
  • • Review and interpret legislation, licensing requirements, and payer rules to anticipate impacts on services.
  • • Advise staff and partners on federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and mandated reporting.
  • • Lead fundraising, grant writing, and development of outreach and public information materials.
  • • Provide escalated client support, such as crisis intervention, needs assessments, referrals, and complaint resolution.
  • • Design, implement, and evaluate staff training, supervision, and community education.
