Plan, direct, and coordinate mail processing, distribution, and transportation operations in a U.S. postal facility, supervising staff and support services to meet service, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • • Select, train, and mentor supervisors, lead clerks, and shift managers.
  • • Organize and supervise processing of incoming and outgoing mail and parcels.
  • • Direct and coordinate mail operations, staffing, and support services across assigned facilities or units.
  • • Resolve service issues and customer escalations related to mail processing and delivery.
  • • Hire, train, and evaluate mail processing and distribution staff.
  • • Prepare and manage employee work schedules and shift assignments.
  • • Prepare and submit operational and performance reports to district or regional leadership.
  • • Participate in labor relations, address grievances, and ensure contract compliance.
  • • Coordinate transportation dispatch, routing, and dock operations to meet dispatch schedules.
  • • Ensure compliance with postal regulations, security protocols, and safety standards; communicate updates to staff.
  • • Confer with vendors and maintenance to procure equipment, supplies, and services in line with federal regulations.
  • • Monitor timekeeping, attendance, and overtime for payroll accuracy and budget control.
  • • Track throughput, quality, and on-time performance, and implement process improvements.
