Description
Plan, direct, and coordinate operational, administrative, and support functions of a distribution center or network, leading teams that receive, store, fulfill, and ship products to meet service, cost, quality, and safety goals.
- • Organize and supervise inbound receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and outbound shipping.
- • Direct and coordinate daily operations across one or multiple distribution facilities.
- • Resolve escalated customer, carrier, and order-fulfillment issues.
- • Hire, onboard, train, and evaluate employees.
- • Build labor plans and prepare cross-shift work schedules.
- • Prepare and submit operational, inventory, and performance reports to leadership.
- • Address labor relations and grievances in partnership with HR or union reps.
- • Optimize slotting, storage utilization, and material flow to improve throughput.
- • Negotiate rates and service levels with carriers and suppliers; requisition supplies within budget.
- • Communicate service offerings, policies, and regulatory requirements to teams and clients.
- • Select, develop, and coach frontline supervisors and team leads.
- • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and transportation regulations; drive a safety culture.
- • Monitor timekeeping, attendance, and productivity for payroll and KPI tracking.
