Description
Ensure passenger safety and service within stations and terminals by managing platform access, providing travel information, coordinating boarding, and responding to inquiries and incidents. Duties include announcing routes, explaining safety procedures, and conducting station equipment checks.
  • • Provide boarding assistance to elderly, sick, injured, or disabled passengers at platforms and gates.
  • • Open and close station gates, platform doors, or access points for passengers.
  • • Respond to passenger questions, requests, or complaints within the station.
  • • Explain and demonstrate station and platform safety procedures and emergency equipment locations.
  • • Perform safety checks of station systems and equipment before service.
  • • Signal operators to stop or proceed during arrivals, departures, or emergencies.
  • • Verify tickets, passes, and seat reservations at gates and record passenger counts.
  • • Greet passengers and announce routes, platforms, departures, and service changes.
  • • Provide information on routes, platforms or gates, fares, timetables, terminals, and concourses.
  • • Facilitate seating in waiting areas, including priority seating arrangements.
  • • Adjust waiting area seating or amenities at passenger request to improve comfort or accessibility.
  • • Assist passengers using wheelchairs or mobility devices with ramps and safe boarding, coordinating securement with onboard staff.
