Description
Provide onboard hospitality and safety services to passengers on ships or trains. Duties include demonstrating safety equipment, serving meals and beverages, assisting with boarding and seating, and answering travel-related questions.
- • Provide boarding assistance to elderly, sick, or injured passengers.
- • Welcome passengers aboard and assist with embarkation and disembarkation.
- • Respond to passenger questions, requests, and complaints.
- • Explain and demonstrate safety procedures and the use of life jackets, seat belts, and other safety equipment.
- • Conduct pre-departure cabin or compartment safety checks and verify emergency equipment.
- • Coordinate with the crew to confirm cabins or compartments are secure for departure and arrival.
- • Verify reservations, seat assignments, or cabin allocations and record passenger counts.
- • Make announcements and provide information on schedules, routes, stops, itineraries, and onboard services.
- • Facilitate seating arrangements and assist with stowing carry-on baggage or mobility devices.
- • Adjust seating, window shades, lighting, or cabin amenities at passenger request.
- • Serve meals, snacks, and beverages, including special meal requests.
- • Secure passengers with seat belts or fasten wheelchairs and other assistive devices with tie-downs.
