Description
Operate automated palletizing and stretch-wrapping systems to stack, secure, and label cases or bags on pallets for storage or shipment; monitor line flow and quality, adjust settings, clear jams, and maintain materials.
  • • Monitor palletizer operation to ensure pallet pattern, count, and quality meet standards.
  • • Adjust palletizer settings, guides, clamps, and wrapper tension to match product and pallet type.
  • • Operate robotic or conventional palletizers, pallet dispensers, slip-sheet placers, and stretch wrappers.
  • • Remove completed pallets from discharge, stage for shipping, and segregate nonconforming pallets or cases.
  • • Regulate conveyor flow and palletizer speed to balance upstream and downstream operations.
  • • Stop or reset equipment during faults, clear jams or misfeeds using proper lockout/tagout, and report issues to a supervisor.
  • • Secure loads with stretch wrap, straps, corner boards, or top sheets as required.
  • • Replenish pallets, slip sheets, stretch film, labels, and other dunnage materials.
  • • Inspect incoming cases or bags and remove damaged, open, or mislabeled items before palletizing.
  • • Keep infeed and pallet build areas clear of debris and damaged materials.
  • • Verify pallet counts, layer configurations, label accuracy, and weight if applicable.
  • • Perform basic checks, cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments to sensors, rails, and grippers.
  • • Monitor infeed conveyors and accumulation to prevent pile-ups, misalignment, and blocked conditions.
  • • Build stable pallets to pattern and run automatic stretch-wrap cycles; add protective materials as needed.
  • • Start up equipment, log into the HMI, select correct recipes, and engage controls.
  • • Record pallet counts, case counts per pallet, rejects, downtime, and materials used.
  • • Prepare finished pallets for shipment by labeling, wrapping, and applying load tags or placards.
  • • Supply empty pallets and slip sheets to dispensers and remove wrapped pallets with pallet jack or forklift when required.
  • • Print and apply pallet labels and lot or shipping information; verify barcode readability.
  • • Maintain 5S and sanitation in the palletizer area; sweep, clean sensors and rollers, and empty waste.
