Description
Plan and execute development strategies to secure philanthropic support for the organization. Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, cultivate and solicit gifts, steward relationships, and coordinate campaigns, events, and grant proposals to advance organizational goals.
  • • Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects to cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts.
  • • Develop annual and multi-year fundraising plans that maximize revenue and minimize costs.
  • • Set and track campaign and event fundraising goals and participation targets.
  • • Attend community events and meetings to represent the organization and engage donors.
  • • Build relationships with corporate, foundation, and civic leaders to advance support.
  • • Create and update donor and prospect records in the CRM.
  • • Design or oversee production of fundraising materials, web pages, and newsletters.
  • • Implement annual giving, direct mail, email, and digital fundraising campaigns.
  • • Develop strategies to acquire, retain, and upgrade donors.
  • • Manage web-based fundraising, including donation pages, peer-to-peer, and online auctions.
  • • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for development activities.
  • • Explain philanthropic impact and tax benefits to prospective donors.
  • • Conduct prospect research, wealth screening, and portfolio analysis to inform strategy.
  • • Prepare grant proposals, LOIs, and supporting materials for funding organizations.
  • • Coordinate cultivation and fundraising events such as galas, auctions, and walks.
  • • Recruit sponsors, table hosts, and participants for events.
  • • Secure commitments and close gifts from individuals and institutional donors.
  • • Solicit cash, in-kind donations, and sponsorships as appropriate.
  • • Draft speeches, press releases, and talking points to elevate the case for support.
  • • Maintain and grow media and community contact lists.
  • • Monitor development budgets, revenue, and expense reports; report on KPIs.
  • • Track campaign progress and produce dashboards and presentations for leadership.
  • • Prepare donor acknowledgments, stewardship reports, and impact communications.
  • • Coordinate logistics, materials, and deliveries related to fundraising activities.
  • • Identify and secure speakers or honorees for events and donor gatherings.
  • • Ensure compliance with gift acceptance policies and data privacy standards.
  • • Collaborate with program, finance, and marketing teams to align funding priorities.
  • • Manage matching-gift, workplace giving, and corporate partnership programs.
