Description
Schedule and dispatch maintenance technicians, crews, equipment, and service vehicles for preventive maintenance, corrective work, and emergency repairs at facilities or customer sites. Use phone, radio, and a CMMS to prioritize assignments, coordinate parts and access, and compile statistics and reports on work progress and costs.
- • Schedule and dispatch maintenance technicians, crews, equipment, or service vehicles to job sites based on work orders, priorities, and SLAs via phone, radio, or CMMS.
- • Arrange vendor support or specialized trades and coordinate repairs to restore equipment and facility operations.
- • Relay work orders, updates, and instructions between field crews, supervisors, and inspectors via CMMS, phone, or two-way radio.
- • Confer with facility staff, tenants, or supervisors to address service requests, scope, and scheduling issues.
- • Prepare daily technician routes, preventive maintenance schedules, and shift assignments.
- • Create, prioritize, and release work orders in the CMMS.
- • Manage maintenance communications for assigned buildings, plants, or regions.
- • Track technician status, locations, and job progress to adjust schedules in real time.
- • Maintain records of requests, work performed, labor, parts, costs, and other dispatch data in the CMMS.
- • Determine needed parts, tools, permits, PPE, and personnel for each job per specifications.
- • Advise crews of site access, safety hazards, lockout/tagout, weather, or other conditions impacting work.
- • Coordinate parts procurement, staging, and delivery to job sites or technicians.
