Description
Plan, direct, and coordinate construction and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. Oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, including organization, scheduling, budgeting, safety, quality, and compliance. Lead subcontractors and field teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • • Meet with owners, designers, and trade partners to resolve procedures, issues, and site problems.
  • • Plan and direct construction and maintenance activities across assigned projects.
  • • Forecast labor needs and dispatch crews and subcontractors.
  • • Inspect work to verify compliance with building, safety, and OSHA requirements.
  • • Review drawings and specifications to determine means and methods.
  • • Procure materials, equipment, and services.
  • • Prepare budgets, schedules, cash flow, and cost reports.
  • • Establish and enforce quality control plans.
  • • Support site selection and due diligence for land or existing facilities, as needed.
  • • Implement energy-efficient and sustainable construction practices where applicable.
  • • Evaluate green versus conventional options for cost, lifecycle, and environmental impact.
  • • Develop and enforce environmental protection and erosion-control plans.
  • • Train staff on sustainability and responsible building practices.
  • • Monitor compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
  • • Lead preconstruction activities, including estimates, feasibility, and value engineering.
  • • Coordinate third-party certifications, such as LEED, when required.
  • • Sequence work and update schedules to meet milestones.
  • • Investigate incidents, damages, or delays and correct procedures.
  • • Draft, negotiate, and administer contracts, change orders, and subcontracts.
  • • Adjust plans for delays, weather, or emergencies and communicate impacts.
  • • Interpret plans and contract terms for owners, staff, and field crews.
  • • Obtain required building permits and licenses.
  • • Analyze construction methods and cost-effectiveness using software and models.
  • • Oversee and coordinate craft and specialty contractors.
  • • Lead and supervise field staff to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
