Description
Lead and supervise on-site construction crews to execute work safely, on schedule, and to specification. Coordinate daily labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors; interpret plans; enforce quality and safety; communicate progress and resolve field issues.
  • • Requisition and stage materials, tools, and equipment.
  • • Confer with superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, and crew leads to resolve site issues.
  • • Plan, organize, and direct daily field activities.
  • • Determine and assign daily labor and equipment needs.
  • • Inspect work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
  • • Review drawings and job specifications to select construction methods and sequences.
  • • Track quantities, time, and production; submit daily reports and progress updates.
  • • Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, and laydown areas.
  • • Promote and enforce safety policies; lead toolbox talks and job hazard analyses.
  • • Monitor housekeeping and basic environmental controls to minimize spills, dust, or waste.
  • • Provide constructability input and assist with pre-task planning.
  • • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and craft activities to meet milestones.
  • • Investigate and report incidents, damage, or delays; correct unsafe or improper procedures.
  • • Implement plan changes due to weather, design revisions, or site conditions.
  • • Interpret and explain plans, specifications, and work requirements to crews.
  • • Verify permits, inspections, and required documentation are available on site.
  • • Assist in evaluating construction methods for productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  • • Oversee craft workmanship and provide hands-on guidance or training.
  • • Direct and supervise construction workers and subcontractor crews.
  • • Maintain equipment condition checks and coordinate repairs.
  • • Ensure erosion control, waste segregation, and other site environmental practices.
  • • Support punch list completion and project closeout activities.
  • • Communicate change impacts and resource needs to the project manager or superintendent.
  • • Implement and enforce site quality control procedures.
