Description
Lead and develop athletes for competition by planning practices, teaching techniques and rules, devising game strategies, and managing game-day operations. Evaluate and improve individual and team performance, ensure safety and compliance, and, when applicable, recruit athletes and oversee program logistics and staff.
- • Plan, organize, and run practice sessions.
- • Develop game plans and set lineups for contests and seasons.
- • Design and direct strength, conditioning, and skill programs.
- • Tailor coaching techniques to athlete strengths and weaknesses.

- • Teach related courses or workshops and advise student-athletes.
- • Communicate with parents or guardians to share updates and address concerns.
- • Arrange travel and logistics for away competitions.
- • Hire, mentor, and supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
- • Record, analyze, and review video and data on team and opponent performance.
- • Counsel athletes on academic, athletic, and personal matters.
- • Represent the program in community outreach, media, and fundraising activities.
- • Monitor academic eligibility and support athlete progress.
- • Identify and recruit prospective athletes within program policies and regulations.
- • Manage budgets, purchasing, and fundraising for the program.
