Description
Operate industrial washing equipment to clean products and materials, removing residues and contaminants from items such as containers, glassware, metal parts, plastics, and rubber.
- • Operate washers to clean and remove impurities from containers, glassware, metal parts, plastics, rubber, and other products.
- • Load items into machines and unload cleaned items to conveyors, racks, or staging areas.
- • Add detergents, solvents, or other chemicals at specified times to maintain solution levels and concentrations.
- • Measure, mix, or weigh cleaning solutions using calibrated equipment.
- • Monitor gauges, thermometers, and displays; adjust controls to maintain temperature, flow, and cycle time.
- • Set cycle parameters and start conveyors, pumps, agitators, and related equipment.
- • Draw solution samples or perform on-site tests to verify acidity, specific gravity, or cleanliness standards.
- • Inspect machines and cleaned items for malfunctions, residue, or damage.
- • Drain, clean, and refill tanks or machines at scheduled intervals.
- • Record materials used, cycle settings, readings, processing times, and test results in logs.
- • Perform basic maintenance, including cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating parts with hand tools.
